The process for curing animal skin is very complicated and includes dozens of procedures: Mounting leather, soaking, skinning, degreasing, depilating, cleaning with alkali, swelling, unraveling, softening, stripping, tanning, splitting, shaving, re-tanning, neutralizing , coloring, oiling, stuffing, drying, trimming and finishing of finished leather.
